Heavy Rockers Samavayo from Berlin team up with Russias most active DIY-Psych-Rockers The Grand Astoria formed around Frontman Kamille to give you the full package of rock. Why these two fit so well and what you can excpect from the upcoming tour, check out the interviews with both bands below! These guys make everything by themselfes and not to forget great music. Support them and attend one of the gigs.

Interview with Samavayo

1. Was habt ihr euch für die Tour vorgenommen?
Samavayo: Wir wollen Spaß haben, rocken und Leute mit unserer Musik anheizen. Insgesamt haben wir mit Samavayo schon sehr viele Konzerte gespielt, über 400-500 Stück, aber nie gab es eine Tour in Folge in der Länge. Das wird für uns eine Herausforderung und wir freuen uns darauf. Viele der Orte sind auch neu für uns und wir sind gespannt wie dem Publikum unsere Musik gefallen wird.

2. Habt ihr neues Material dabei? Live und am Merch-Stand?
Wir werden ein neues T-Shirt Motiv am Start haben. Für viele wird unser kompletter Merchstand neu sein, weil wir die Orte ja noch nicht bespielt haben 🙂 Live gibt es einen ordentlichen heavy Mix der letzten 4 Alben auf die Ohren…
Neu wird auch sein, dass wir als Trio spielen, dass wird für manche vielleicht auch eine Überraschung sein…

3. Inwiefern denkt ihr, dass The Grand Astoria und Samavayo eine gute Kombo sind?
BEide Bands passen musikalisch gut zusammen. Heavy, psychedelisch, mit Metal anleihen. Samavayo eher im Stoner Metal, The Grand Astoria mit mehr Psychedelic und frickliger. Stoner, Metal und Heavy Fans kommen definitiv auf ihre Kosten. Zudem sind beide Bands vom Label Setalight, hier gibt es ebenfalls Schnittstellen und ebenso verstehen wir uns gut und kennen uns schon einige Jahre.

4. Facebook hilft vielen unbekannteren Bands bei der Tourplanung. Inwiefern spielt das bei euch eine Rolle?
Facebook war bei der Organisation, Booking und Promotion eine große Hilfe. Per Chat haben wir mit den einzelnen Bookern in Italien, Deutschland Schweiz oder Kroatien und auch untereinander komuniziert. The Grand Astoria sind ja im Grunde schon das ganze Jahr auf Tour. Auch bei der Promo können wir unsere Tourdates in die einzelnen Gruppen posten etc

5. Irgendwelche Worte an unsere Community?
Wenn ihr auf nen feinen heavy Abend mit dicken Riffs und ordentlich abgehen steht, kommt zu den Konzerten, mosht mit uns, quatscht mit uns anschließend beim Bier oder Merchstand. Es wirdn Fest… Burning Soul Tour..2013


Interview with The Grand Astoria

1. What are your targets for the Tour with Samavayo?
To spend the time with good friends and attract more people to the shows.

2. Will you have new Material on that tour? like live on stage and/or merchandise?
We will have new album on CD and new 7” single, probably some new t-shirts as well.

3. Why do you think The Grand Astoria and Samavayo is a good package?
Our styles are quite different so I hope that this can introduce us to the wider audience

4. Facebook helps a lot of unknown bands. How did it helpe you?
Yes it helps us and it’s the only official page that we have in the internet. We have about 2500 followers there, not that many but still

5. Any words for the community?
Be open-minded!
